The First Aid Level 2 course is an intermediate, accredited programme that builds on First Aid Level 1 and prepares learners to manage more complex emergencies in medium- to high-risk environments. The course aligns with QCTO occupational skills standards and the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act.

Training focuses on advanced casualty assessment, trauma management, and practical emergency response through hands-on simulations. Successful participants receive a nationally recognised First Aid Level 2 certificate valid for three years.

Curriculum includes:

  • All First Aid Level 1 content
  • Advanced scene assessment and risk control
  • Primary and secondary casualty assessments
  • Team-based Adult CPR and AED response
  • Severe bleeding, trauma, and shock management
  • Fractures, spinal precautions, and serious injuries
  • Casualty movement, lifting, and rescue carries
  • Environmental emergencies (heat stroke, hypothermia, bites, stings)
  • Water-related emergencies and drowning response
  • Multi-casualty incident basics and casualty prioritization

After completing First Aid Level 2, participants will be able to:

  • Manage complex medical and trauma emergencies confidently.
  • Conduct advanced casualty assessments.
  • Lead or support team-based emergency responses.
  • Apply spinal precautions and casualty movement techniques.
  • Respond effectively to environmental and multi-casualty incidents.
  • Enhance workplace emergency preparedness and compliance.

First Aid Level 2 is ideal for:

  • Rescheduling or Cancellation within 7 Days: A fee of 50% of the total booking cost applies.
  • Rescheduling More Than 7 Days Before Event: Admin fee of R450.00 (excl. VAT).
  • Cancellation More Than 7 Days Before Event: 20% cancellation fee.
